Clarence Cole, better known as CC, has been with the company for 25 years. As well as being a mixer driver, CC is one of our driver-trainers helping new hires learn the SWS way. We sat down with CC to get to know him a little bit better:

I have the ability to resolve disputes when they come up

I have a cheerful outlook which I display daily
What most excites you about the job?
Thankful to be working a job that I enjoy going to each day. I also enjoy developing inexperienced drivers.
What advice would you give to new employees?
Come in with a cheerful outlook, learn the job and gain confidence
What do you like to do during your time off?
I like to spend my weekend time with friends and family. I spend time with my grandchildren, watching sports and movies. I also like washing my cars
What is something about you that might surprise us?
Something about me that may surprise you is that I sit on the board of the Nix-Sullivan Complex for Family, which is a non-profit organization. This non-profit helps low-income families and individuals overcome barriers and conditions created by low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. Families often want out of their situation but feel they are faced with unsurmountable barriers. This non-profit helps participants in becoming independent and self-sufficient. Our program does not simply attack the symptoms of poverty, it tackles dependency on all fronts and replaces powerlessness with empowerment and the opportunity for a better future.
We would like to thank CC for not only his time with SWS or his dedication to teaching new drivers, but we applaud him for making a difference in our community. Thanks for letting us get to know you more!
